Jacob Elder

Jacob Elder is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky. In 2006, he served as an officer in the Kentucky National Guard and later with the Georgia National Guard. He received his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Georgia. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a prosecutor and spent three years in the Jefferson County Attorney’s General Criminal and DUI divisions. The criminal division of the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office focuses on cases ranging from traffic citations to felony crimes. Jacob adds value to our team of attorneys with his knowledge acquired while negotiating and resolving crimes in governmental courtrooms. He joined Suhre & Associates in 2021 and has since hit the ground running representing clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses.

Honesty and simplicity are values that hold true for Jacob. He has always been motivated by his own sense of justice. “I will not tolerate living in a world where the rules apply to some, but not to others,” says Elder. He is licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky and is seeking admission to federal court. His focus is serving those charged in Jefferson and surrounding counties.

Jacob is more than just an attorney. He is an avid gardener. When he’s not practicing law, you might find him tackling his next yard work project. He enjoys expressing himself musically and plays the guitar, mandolin and is currently learning how to play the banjo.
